Experienced to work in all spaces
We work in all types of confined spaces whether it be under ground, in silos or bunkers. All our confined space work is undertaken with a rescue plan in place for every eventuality. We know confined spaces can have poor air quality, complex rescue provisions and have hazardous substances involved, that is why at C.D.L steeplejacks we have fully trained and experienced operatives on hand to work in such environments. All confined space projects are vigorously planned and risk accessed enabling us to carry out our projects to a high standard in both terms of safety and workmanship.
Our steeplejacks and rope access technicians have specific confined space training not just in rescue but the safety measure that come alongside working in a confined space that coupled with years of experience working in confined space give us the knowledge and skills needed to work safely.
High quality risk assesment
All our confined space projects are risk assessed beforehand and in doing so enable us to evaluate the precautions and measurements needed to carry out the project safely. All our confined space work is carried out with a top man who will monitor all conditions along with communication to the entrant or entrants whilst monitoring the entry and exit space.
All confined space work is carried out with specialised emergency breathing apparatus if ever needed alongside gas monitoring at all times and any rescue provisions that are needed for the particular project. Two way communication radios are provided alongside any other specialised equipment specific to the project.
Our confined space projects in the past has seen us working food silos, cement bunkers, air vents pipework shafts and pits carrying various jobs from inspections and maintenance to cleaning and welding.
